An interesting concept has been creeping into our consciousness: body, mind and spirit integration. For many years the body-mind connection has been reviewed, studied, and researched. We even have medical degrees in them. I am wondering if at some point in the future we will see a dramatic shifting in “western” medicine/thinking and the concept of spiritual connections will be embraced.
As humans beings we are really spirits having a human experience. At the moment of our death, we weigh the exact same as the moment before when our spirit was still in the body. Energy practitioners can feel the human energy field that surrounds the body and often when working in it feel the changes that take place. Kirilian photography has documented this very nicely . In fact, the earliest work on the subject was as far back as 1898 known then as “electrography”.
So, if scientists have “seen” with their own eyes what energy practitioners have been feeling, then why hasn’t there been …a total systhesis of the work, theories, and practice? If we will open our minds up to the possibilities of advancement our health field (no pun intended) could possibly move as rapidly as the computer technology field providing us with several popular alternatives to our disease laden existence.
I agree with Valerie Hunt quoted in “Healing Body, Mind, & Spirit: A Guide To Energy-Based Healing”: “The human energy field responds to stimuli even before the brain does. I think we have way overrated the brain as the active ingredient in the relationship of a human to the world. The mind’s not in the brain. It’s in that darn field.”
