Immune System Basics: What is in my Immune System?

Posted in: Body

The body naturally fights invading organisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites.  We have organ specifically built to act on them to help preserve body function and create balance.

Here is a list of organs and components… in our human immune system:

1) Thymus

2) Tonsils

3) Adenoids

4) Spleen

5) White Blood Cells

6) Lymph System

Our immune systems are sophisticated as it remembers invaders, knows the difference between our own body system and invaders and it can tell the difference between invaders if it is viral or bacterial for example.

It is important to protect our body and keep it in good working order so it can work for us.

Balance and Harmony is the key. Many things can throw the body out of balance such as sugar, stress, trauma, lack of sleep and dehydration.

The best of health,
