An interesting concept has been creeping into our consciousness: body, mind and spirit integration. For many years the body-mind connection has been reviewed, studied, and researched. We even have medical degrees in them. I am wondering if at some point in the future we will see a dramatic shifting in “western” medicine/thinking and the concept of spiritual connections will be embraced.
As humans beings we are really spirits having a human experience. At the moment of our death, we weigh the exact same as the moment before when our spirit was still in the body. Energy practitioners can feel the human energy field that surrounds the body and often when working in it feel the changes that take place. Kirilian photography has documented this very nicely . In the movie, “Pay it Forward” many people were inspired by a young boy who set out to change the world because someone asked him to. The seventh grader was asked “What does the world expect of me?” and he answered “nothing”.
These two statements really had me thinking at this time of year when people are renewing new year’s resolutions and listing goals to achieve in the months ahead. If we are under the impression that the world does not expect anything of me then it will be harder to reach the set goals. If on the other hand, you believe there is an expectation that each one of us carries to be a part of change and the movement forward in evolution then our hopes and dreams have a fighting chance.
Ghandi said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world”.
